It Is With Deep Appreciation to the members of St. Stephen's that we can say that we've successfully met our Investment Card Challenge! We received our 150th Investment Card on Christmas Eve. This means our anonymous donor will give $7,500 to the Sanctuary Renewal Program! Thank you so much for turning in your investment cards, and for those of you who haven't please go ahead and turn them in before the end of the year. These cards are a great help in terms of us planning financially for the upcoming year!

HUGS Donations to go to the Homeless: Everyone in the congregation is invited to donate HUGS for the homeless. HUGS are hats, underwear, gloves, and socks or scarves. These items will be taken to the homeless in Finlay Park during on February 3rd.

January Love Offering: ELCA World Hunger
More than 800 million people — that’s 1 in 8 people in our world today — are hungry. As members of the ELCA, we are called to respond. ELCA World Hunger is uniquely positioned to reach communities in need. From health clinics to microloans, water wells to animal husbandry, community meals to advocacy, your gifts to ELCA World Hunger make it possible for the ELCA to respond, supporting sustainable solutions that get at the root causes of hunger and poverty.

SPIRITUAL LIFE INVENTORY
This year St. Stephen's was invited to be a part of a program called "Leadership for Faithful Innovation." This program is sponsored by Luther Seminary in coordination with 6 Synods in the ELCA, which includes the South Carolina Synod. A handful of growing and thriving churches were chosen from our Synod to participate in this three year process, which focuses on helping to foster and develop new and innovative congregational life and leadership.

One of the initial parts of this process is having the congregation fill out a Spiritual Life Inventory, which will help us as church leaders to understand the spiritual life and practices of our members. Below you will find a link to this inventory. Please take 8-10 minutes at your earliest convenience to fill this out. Please fill it out candidly. Your answers will be anonymous. Thank you in advance for your time and your willingness to aid our congregation in this most helpful way.

Since we are a subscriber, all of our members have access to EVERYTHING on the site for FREE. This includes Bible studies for all ages and family friendly children's videos!

You can access Right Now Media from any smart phone, computer, or tablet! If you have any questions, e-mail Shannon (shannon@sslc.org). The link on the Web is ... https://www.rightnowmedia.org/Account/Invite/StStephensLutheran

The Givelify App ' Giving Simplified
Don't keep cash or checks on you regularly? Looking for an easier way to make contributions for Wednesday Night Live meals, Debt Retirement lunches, general offering, building fund, monthly love projects, etc.?  After some hard work by the Stewardship and Finance committees and approval by our Church Council, we can now advertise that St. Stephen's can be found on the Givelify app!  You might be asking "What is Givelify?", or maybe you are totally sold and want to start using the app.

Below are two very helpful links!
