Pastor Pat grew up in the Tidewater area of eastern Virginia in the City of Norfolk. He was an honor graduate of Virginia Wesleyan College with a B.A. in history. He is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa leadership and honor society as well a Phi Alpha Theta historical honor society.
Pastor Pat graduated from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in 1985 and since has been active in parish ministry serving congregations in North and South Carolina. He received the call to serve as Senior Pastor of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in August 1999. In May of 2008, he received his Doctor of Ministry Degree from Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West, South Carolina.
Pastor Pat is married to the former Janet Holton of West Columbia and they are the proud parents of twin daughters, Savannah and Victoria. Pat is still a history buff who spends his time reading, turkey hunting, working in the yard, and driving his old blue truck.
